Announcements


If you have not renewed your membership - your listing may have already been removed

We have made multiple efforts to remind members that your membership may be past due. All memberships renew on June 1. We understand that some members go on vacation or have various competing commitments that might cause you to forget to renew. For those of you who have contacted us and said that you plan to renew, we have tried to refrain from removing your listing. If we haven't heard from you, and you haven't paid -- you leave us no choice. We'll miss you!

Webinars


We had planned two webinars for July, but postponed them. We had re-scheduled the one for 8/17, but now due to member's feedback we decided to wait a little longer. Many of our members have school age children, and some of the schools don't start back until 8/20. The next Webinar will be a quarterly UPL Summit. All members and document preparer friends around the country will receive an invitation via email. Please keep a lookout for your Webinar invitation the week prior, sent directly from the webinar site - anymeeting.com.

Soon we will offer a Virtual Document Provider webinar. We encourage you to expand your business reach by offering document preparation services online. We have been using a virtual business model for www.faldp.org since 2010 -- the beginning.

We also have a Webinar series planned called Pro Se Boot Camp. This will include several sections to include varied information for pro se litigants to help them learn how to handle their legal matters themselves. Start date to be announced. Our target audience is pro se litigants, and we encourage you to invite any of your customers that you feel might benefit from the information offered. We will be charging consumers a small fee to attend. We plan to share the collected fees with document preparers who help us promote and invite consumers to attend our Pro Se Boot Camp Series. Details to come.


Designation Badges - Virtual Provider


As you may have noticed we have developed several designation badges that may appear on your Mini-Page. The badges coincide with the document preparation services you advertise -- Family Matters, Bankruptcy Help, Landlord/Tenant, Bankruptcy Help, Mediation, Estate Planning, Probate, Immigration, and Translation. These icons are placed on members' Mini-Pages and linked to a page listing document preparers who prepare each type of document. We have a new badge that you can display on your mini-page - Virtual Provider. If you do business statewide as a virtual document preparer, you can display your listing throughout the state. This is a pilot program which we are offering for a limited time for only $30 annually.

Fourth Annual FALDP Conference

The Fourth Annual FALDP Conference is barely a month away. As promised we have more details to share. Below is a map of Cedar Key. The Conference is at the Cedar Key Library Meeting Room - located at: 466 2nd St, Cedar Key, FL 32625

We will be in Cedar Key on Friday afternoon (9/20) and will be staying at one of the many family owned cottages. On Friday evening please meet up with us at Steamers Clam Bar & Grill if you're in town. For accommodation choices the best place to look is on the Cedar Key Chamber site. We're looking forward to meeting all of you. Can't wait! And remember - We ARE changing the world.


Conference Information


Get Ready - September 21, 2013 in lovely Cedar Key, Florida. Cedar Key is on the Gulf Coast, at approximately the same latitude as Ocala. We are holding our meeting in the Historic Cedar Key Library Meeting Room. There is space for 80, attending members are invited to bring a guest at no additional charge. Hours are 9-5.
