Neighbor's Tree on my electrical line
by: FALDP Staff

Dear Anonymous,
Yes, according to FPL's website it is the homeowner's responsibility to trim trees located on their property. Homeowners are allowed to trim their neighbor's tree branches that extend over the property line.

We suggest to hire a licensed/ insured tree company to trim the branches. And, you can have them request that the power be temporarily turned off while they remove the branches.
