Rosemary Furman
What happened in the Florida Bar V Rosemary Furman case? What impact on today did the outcome of that case have? I keep hearing / reading little bits about that case, but I don't know the whole story. Just curious.
Furman is a Landmark Historical Case That Benefited Legal Documents Preparers by: Waterford Notary Charles 407.722.0800
Just do a Google search, I found this in Google, re the FL Bar vs Rosemary Furman,
Furman was/is a landmark historical case prosecuted by the Florida bar that ended up furthering the cause of legal document preparers in Florida and providing greater access(lower documents preparation fees) to the courts for the indigent. This surely was the exact opposite of what the FL Bar had intended. Yet ironically, it was the bars own efforts that eventually furthered the cause of Rosemary Furman and all legal document preparers in Florida.
The Furman case was(is) very important for document preparers in Florida and it opened up the way for greater access to the courts for the indigent and low income citizens of Florida.
I (the Waterford Lakes Notary Charles) was a history major and love history, so I urge you and all our readers to study the history of legal document preparation and preparers in Florida
