Notice of Discovery
by: FALDP Staff

Hi Steven,
The state's attorney's office is required to share with you all the evidence they have. Your first step is to file a Notice of Discovery pursuant to Rule 3.220 - Florida Rules of Criminal Procedure. I found a sample on a criminal defense attorney site.

If your freedom is at stake, you owe it to yourself to seek legal advice. If you cannot afford an attorney, the state is required to appoint a public defender for you. You can always go to arraignment, plead not guilty, and then hire an attorney. You'll save some money that way.
