Return of Service
by: FALDP Staff

Go to the clerk of court's site for your county. Find the online docket. The docket is a list of filings and events in a case. Depending on your county's policies you may or may not be able to view the documents online. Look for a docket entry titled, "Return of Service" or "Proof of Service". Most process servers will forward the Return of Service directly to the clerk of court. However, some will only send it to the customer. You also might try calling the clerk of court and ask whether they can tell if documents were served in your case. Depending on the county and how backed up or short staffed they are, their can be a lag time before you can see an entry on the court docket.
