UPL Summit

This UPL Summit focuses on UPL and free speech. Commercial speech is protected, why are document preparers from exercising their First Amendment right to free speech? Let's talk about it.
Open to Members and Friends. And co-hosted by the Nationwide Alliance of Legal Document Preparers, www.naldp.net. We invite document preparers we know from other states to attend, so that we can compare notes. We want to know how it is in another state. We know the UPL climate in Florida. But are we in a better or worse position than our counterparts in other states?
UPL is the unauthorized practice of law. In Florida it is a third degree felony, and carries up to $5000. fine and up to five years in prison. Prison! Members, please attend if you can. The information is important, and the discussion is lively. We try to have a UPL Summit webinar at least once a quarter.
On Saturday, February 9, 2013 we hosted a one hour webinar - Business Development -- Making the Most of Your Membership. Despite technical difficulties with the screen share feature of the webinar site, we had an engaging discussion about our industry. Thank you to all who attended.

All FALDP members will receive an Invitation directly from the Webinar site - www.anymeeting.com which requests that you fill out a short registration form if interested in attending. After the Registration Form is completed, registrants receive a Confirmation Form. Use the Confirmation Form to connect on the day of the Webinar. The Confirmation Form includes the link to connect to the Webinar; the phone number for the live conference call; and a PIN number.
