Thank you Mr. Webb!

I knew someone would stick up for our industry, that's why I let it through the moderators. We are so worth the money. We save consumers thousands of dollars every day by assisting them with professionally prepared court documents. A consumer who questions whether doc preparers are worth the money on this site, which is all about document preparation and preparers; is probably best served by spending his money on an attorney. And then he can ask the question - are attorneys worth the money?

are doc preparers worth the money?

I am insulted that the inquirer finished his inquiry with that comment. What the he** is he talking about.

He certainly didn't mention anything about a document Preparer and then slams our industry, what a cheap shot.

I would ask this man to leave my office and never come back if that is his attitude about my profession.

Maybe he should simply request a hearing before the judge on the matter of firing his attorneys and asking why his document was ignored by the clerk of the court.

My guess is that he filed a form that did not meet the courts criteria. Perhaps he should check with the Case Management office in his courthouse before he starts slamming an industry that helps thousands of people in Florida, who simply cannot afford the fees that Attorney's charge.

I recently had someone in my office ask for something in family court that was not available from the Supreme Court. I attempted to modify a form as best I could and delivered it to the client telling them I was not charging them for the paperwork because I was not sure the court would accept the filing. I was right, the clerk told them that they could not file the papers. However, the customer was not mad at me, as I did the work pro-bono.
