Clerk of Court or Case Manager
by: FALDP Staff

The burden is on the moving party to set up a hearing. The exact process for setting up a hearing varies somewhat depending on local rules. In general, you contact the clerk of court and ask for three dates on their upcoming motion calendar. You then contact the opposing party and find out which date fits best with their schedule. Then prepare a Notice of Hearing based on the other party's choice. If there is a case manager, he or she may be able to assist you.
