Serving Subpoenas

Karla,
If your witness is willing to appear in your behalf, you can include him/her on your witness list. The witness list is filed in the court record and sent to the other party. If you need a subpoena to appear, you can prepare a subpoena and have the clerk of court sign it for you. A sheriff or a private process server can then serve it on your witness. In general, a subpoena is only required when a witness is unwilling to testify.
