As with the other comments, it appears that you do not need mediation. I would call the clerk of court in your district, ask to talk to your case worker. Have that person review your case, if everything is in order. Go to state approved Florida forms at flcourts.com and fill out a Notice for hearing. Take to the clerk of courts, file the original and send a copy of it to your one day to be ex. Go to the final hearing and be single again and be able to go on with your life.

Mediation is to resolve disputes, and since you don't seem to have any, there is no purpose in having a mediation. Your soon to be ex may have read or seen something referring to "mandatory mediation". The following is posted on the website for the First Judicial Circuit: MEDIATION At some point in a divorce proceeding parties may request, or the Court may order mediation of the case. Mediation is a process for resolving disputes that allows parties, with the help of a mediator, to come to an agreement on contested issues.

Shannon, To my knowledge, unless a judge orders mediation you do not have to go through it. If everything is agreed on I do not understand why your husband wants to do that. It sounds like he is trying to control the proceedings and cause you an undue burden. Do not give him any ideas to request mediation but otherwise tell him there's nothing saying mediation is required and he needs to drop it. Good luck.
