Without knowing what the deposition is for, it's hard to answer your question.
Generally you can state the following:
State that you "don't know" or "don't remember". State that you can't answer the question because you don't know if it will harm or help you (especially if you don't have an attorney). State that you don't understand the question.
State that you don't have sufficient information with which to make a proper answer.
