No. The lease is a binding contract that is in effect until it expires OR one or all parties agree to ter.unate the lease and or start a new lease. If you dont want your roomate off the lease then you dont have to take her off even uf she has moved out. The PROPER course of action woukd not be to remove her, but for your LL to sign a new lease with you in your name only if she is so concerned about releasing that person from all responsibility. STAY THE COURSE. DONT BE BULLIED . If you take roomate off the lease and anything or crazy charges come in the future, the roommate will not be responsible You in effect allowed them to walk away GOOD LUCK :)
