Indigent Guidelines
by: Staff

Hi Jennifer,
Yes there are specific guidelines. The clerk of court makes the determination as to eligibility, and if you are denied you have the right to a hearing before a judge. The basis for the clerk's determination are found in Florida Statute 57.082. You can find more information about Civil Indigent Status and download the form on our site. Go to https://www.faldp.org/civil-indigent.html
