1) How long does a party have to answer to a petition for dissolution of marriage?
You have 20 days file an Answer to the Petition.
2) What happens if they do not submit an answer in time? A Moton for Default can be filed against you.
3) Is there a default judgment made by the court in these cases? No. You will need to prepare the Motion for Default.
4)What is a default judgment? A binding judgment in favor of a plaintiff when the defendant has not responded to a summons or has failed to appear before a court of law.
